21st Annual Park City Wrestling Classic moves to Hartman Arena

One of the largest one-day youth wrestling tournaments in Kansas will be held in the area on Saturday March 6, 20101 at Hartman Arena. The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission and Park City Convention and Tourism are pleased to host 1,050 wrestlers, hailing from eight different states as they participate in the 21st Annual Park City-Wichita Wrestling Classic.
Olympian and three-time All-American wrestler from Oklahoma State, Kenny Monday, will provide a free clinic to participants on Friday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m.
The Classic gears up with the 6U, 8U and 14U beginning at 8:00 a.m. They will be followed by 10U, 12U, and High School Divisions at approximately 1:00 p.m. The day will conclude with the Championship Finals at 6:30 p.m.
Admission to the Park City-Wichita Wrestling Classic is free.
The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission believes this is an exciting event for the Wichita community. Bob Hanson, President/CEO of the GWASC expressed, “We are pleased to be partners with Park City Convention and Tourism as we host the Park City-Wichita Wrestling Classic and hope to provide one of the finest, and most competitive wrestling tournaments in the country.” The economic impact of this event generates over $450,000 dollars for the greater Wichita area.
